Microsoft reports 19% revenue growth in fiscal first quarter

Cloud revenue increased as the company released results for the September quarter.

Microsoft reported revenue of $92.3 billion for the quarter ended September 30, up 19% from the same period a year earlier. The October 28 release covers the first quarter of the company’s 2027 fiscal year, rather than a period in calendar 2027.

Microsoft Cloud revenue reached $63.9 billion, up 30%, while reported operating income increased 21% to $45.9 billion. The company presents separate reported and adjusted earnings measures; the figures here use its reported revenue and operating-income totals.
