Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and Santander reported third-quarter profits above analyst expectations on October 28, Reuters reported. Stronger results did not produce a uniform market response, as investors also assessed revenue trends and regional weaknesses.

BNP Paribas reported a 14% profit increase and announced a 1.3 billion-euro share buyback. UBS said it planned to finish its 3 billion-dollar buyback by February, earlier than previously targeted. Santander’s weaker performance in Brazil remained a concern alongside its wider earnings growth.
