UN Women highlights lasting distress among people displaced from El Fasher

The agency presented findings from 50 women’s organizations.

At an October 23 UN briefing, UN Women said 49 of 50 surveyed women’s organizations reported psychological distress among women and girls displaced from El Fasher in Sudan.

The agency called for protection, support for women-led organizations and women’s participation in peace efforts. These findings describe reports from the surveyed organizations; they are not a population-wide measurement of individual mental health.
