North Korea launched roughly a dozen short-range ballistic missiles toward the sea off its eastern coast on October 29, South Korea’s military said, according to Yonhap. The Joint Chiefs of Staff said the launches came from the Wonsan area at about 12:30 p.m. local time.
The South Korean account put the flight distance at about 250 kilometres and said further analysis was under way with the United States. This is an attributed military assessment; it does not establish the missiles’ payloads or independently confirm the exact weapons used.
