The U.S. Federal Election Commission’s website said on October 28 that its electronic-filing system was offline and work to restore service was continuing. Its incident record lists disruption to online forms, filing submissions and vendor tools.
The incident page began recording the problem late on October 26. An October 27 evening update said the issue had been identified and a fix was being implemented. These official notices concern campaign-finance filing services; they do not establish an outage of voting or ballot-counting systems.
