Asking prices for newly listed British homes increased 1% in Rightmove’s October survey, Reuters reported on October 19. The survey covered properties marketed between September 13 and October 10; asking prices were 0.1% below a year earlier.
Rightmove said higher mortgage costs were putting pressure on buyers’ budgets. Its figures measure sellers’ asking prices, not completed sale prices. The survey is not seasonally adjusted, and asking prices typically rise in October.
