U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Mumbai on October 20 for talks covering trade, energy, technology and defense, the Associated Press reported.
Rubio said the countries were close to concluding a trade agreement. That was a statement about negotiations, rather than confirmation that a final agreement had been signed.
